Leading JGEC into its Diamond Jubilee decade with focus on AI-integrated curriculum, green campus sustainability, and the ₹12 Crore centenary endowment fund. Achieved NAAC A+ and national ranking #41 among NITs & Gov. Engg. Colleges.
First woman to lead JGEC. Inaugurated the Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE), launched the startup incubation programme, and expanded the college's digital infrastructure campus-wide.
Achieved NAAC A Grade for the first time in college history. Introduced the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and forged international academic partnerships with universities in the UK and Germany.
Established the R&D cell and signed the college's first MoU with IIT Kharagpur for joint research. Received the first UGC Special Assistance Programme grant worth ₹45 Lakhs during his tenure.
Ushered in the digital age for JGEC — introduced the Computer Science & Engineering department and the college's first computer laboratory with 40 terminals connected to the internet in 1996.
Introduced major administrative reforms, established the first student grievance council, and launched the faculty development programme. The NCC and NSS wings were formalised during his tenure.
Pioneered the Electronics & Electrical departments, introducing B.Tech specialisations. Oversaw student enrollment grow from 120 to 380, requiring new laboratory complexes and faculty recruitment.
Championed infrastructure expansion, constructing the main academic block and first student hostel. Introduced the Annual Technical Festival — TechSurge — which continues as a flagship event.
Laid the foundational pillars of the institution — established its charter, first faculty structure, and core academic philosophy. Led the first graduating batch of 80 students through convocation in 1965.
